ATHENS, Greece – October 7, 2026 (STL.News) U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio said Wednesday that Iran has “lost complete control” of the Strait of Hormuz, pointing to a sharp recovery in oil shipments through and around the strategic waterway despite continuing attacks on commercial vessels. “The Straits of Hormuz are open.
